Two weeks after Apple's latest tablet went on sale in the United States, iPad 2 sales kick started in 25 other countries, including Canada, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand and 21 European nations.

International sales kicked off on March 25 in 25 different countries, with inventories being virtually sold out as the device rolled to country to country.

Prospective consumers were met with queues of hardcore shoppers, forming in Sydney to London.

The event cements Apple's position as the No. 1 tablet maker, but while the device may share the same global appeal, it doesn't share the same price.
