HP TouchPad
Are people buying the HP Touchpad en masse to make a profit of it? Seems that way. HP

HP has slashed the TouchPad price for the third time in a week to boost the sales of the one month old iPad competing tablet.

HP is selling its TouchPad for $399.99 for the 16GB model and $499.99 for the 32GB capacity with an instant discount of $100.

Amazon-owned deal-a-day site woot.com is selling the 16 GB device for $379.99.

When the tablet debuted last month, it had received mediocre reviews, as the WebOS software was found lacking.

Walt Mossberg described the device as "simply no match for the iPad,” though he praised the user interface as “attractive and different.”

The 9.7 inch Touchpad comes along with a 1,024 x 768 pixel display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core 1.2GHz processor and 1.3 megapixel camera.

Unlike the iPad, the Touchpad does not have a powerful multitasking, a resizable keyboard with numbers and Facebook photo integration, PCWorld reports.
