Hewlett-Packard Co. unveiled a new ultra-thin laptop on Tuesday.

The Voodoo Envy 133 is 0.7 inches thick, weighs about 3.37 pounds and has a 13.3-inch display.

Earlier this year, Apple Inc released a computer chief executive Steve Jobs called the world's thinnest notebook. The MacBook Air is 0.76 inches at its thickest point and 0.16 inches at its thinnest. It weighs 3 pounds.

The battery life HP advertises for the Envy is about 3.5 hours, compared with a five-hour battery life for the Air.

The computer is expected to be available during the summer, starting at $2,099.
