Even though, HTC has listed the brand new One A9 for preorder, Verizon is not part of the carrier selection. The current list includes AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and an option for unlocked off-contract variant. But now, a new report points to the HTC One A9 release date specific to Verizon.

The official Webpage specific to the HTC One A9 says the following: “Verizon coming in December.” Hence, Verizon customers interested in this handset with full-metal unibody exterior might have to wait a bit longer.

Speaking of price, the HTC One A9 will reportedly set the buyers back by $399.99, without a contract. However, from Nov. 7 onwards, the same device will be available for $499, Phone Arena reported.

Moving on to the HTC One A9 specifications, the highlight of the handset is the preinstalled Android 6.0 Marshmallow, similar to the Google Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P. In addition, the HTC Sense custom UI has been used on top of the Android OS. The metallic exterior is complemented by a 5.0-inch display and 1080p screen resolution.

Under the hood, an octa-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 617) chipset powers the device. Furthermore, the One A9 sports a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera unit with Optical Image Stabilization support, in addition to a 4-megapixel UltraPixel front-facing snapper for selfies and video chats.

When it comes to battery configuration, HTC has housed a modest 2,150 mAh cell in this mid-ranger. According to HTC, this battery unit is capable of providing up to 16 hours of 3G talk time and 18 days of 3G stand-by time. The device comes equipped with 32 GB of native storage space and 3 GB of RAM. To top it off, there is a microSD card slot with expansion capacity of up to a whopping 2 TB. Similar to many high-end devices, the A9 features a fingerprint scanner for user authentication.
