HTC has officially declared the launch date for its 2016 flagship smartphone, the HTC One M10 (aka HTC 10). It is slated to get announced on April 12. The rumor mill has revealed major specs and features of HTC One M10.

Speculations suggest that 2016 HTC flagship smartphone may launch as “HTC One M10” or “HTC 10.” The Taiwanese tech giant has confirmed on its Twitter handle that the smartphone will be unleashed on April 12 at locations like New York, London and Taipei. Users will be able to see the live stream of the launch event on HTC’s website.

The HTC 10 is expected to feature a 5.1-inch or 5.2-inch Super LCD 5 technology driven display that will support Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The Snapdragon 820 will be power the HTC 10 along with 4 GB of RAM. It is also expected to arrive in a MediaTek chipset for select markets. Its internal storage is expected as 64 GB.

One of the USPs of the HTC 10 will be its compelling camera. Rumors are suggesting that it will be sporting a 12-megapixel UltraPixel camera that will come with features like dual LED flash, laser autofocus and OIS. The front-facing camera is expected to be of 5-megapixel.

Fresh rumors indicate that it will be endowed with two speaker grilles. It will also feature USB Type-C and a fingerprint sensor under its physical Home button. It will arrive preloaded with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS and HTC Sense 8.0 UI. The HTC 10 will be housing a 3,000 mAh battery.

As far as the design of the HTC One M10 is concerned, it is expected to appear similar to the HTC One A9 smartphone. Leaked photos of the smartphone suggest that it will be sporting chamfered edges. It will be coming in color choices like black, white, gold and silver.
