HTC is currently rumored to be working on two smartphones, the HTC One X9 and the HTC One M10. Both the handsets are expected to come out in the first quarter of 2016.

Initial rumors on the HTC One X9 have suggested that it will be coming with high-end specifications. But @LlabTooFeR, who is well-known for revealing reliable information on HTC products, has confirmed on Twitter that the HTC One X9 will be released in the first quarter of 2016.

He has added that despite the initial rumors, the HTC One X9 will not be a high-end device, but its specs will be lower than that of the newly released HTC One A9 handset. The purported HTC One X9 handset carries a model number of E56.

The leaker also added that most of the speculated features of the HTC One X9 are incorrect. Hence, the rumored specs of the HTC One M9 that included Quad HD screen, Snapdragon 820 or MediaTek Helio X20 chipset, 4 GB of RAM and 3,500 mAh are wrong. Another well-known source, @evleaks, has also confirmed that the HTC One X9 will not feature flagship specs.

According to @evleaks, the HTC One X9 will be a phablet device with 5.5-inch full HD display that will carry support for 1920 x 1080 pixels. It will be powered by a MediaTek chip, but the exact model is not known yet.

The chipset on the One X9 will be coupled with 2 GB of RAM. The remaining specs of the handset include 16 GB of internal storage, 13-megapixel rear camera, 4-megapixel UltraPixel front-camera and a 3,000 mAh battery.

LlabTooFeR has also mentioned that the HTC One M10 flagship will be released two to three months after the release of HTC One X9. Other sources suggest that HTC M10 will be loaded with a Quad HD display, Snapdragon 820, 4 GB of RAM, 27-megpaixel camera, dual BoomSound speakers, fingerprint scanner and a battery of 3,500 mAh capacity.
