HTC One M10 vs Apple iPhone 6s Plus: Comparison Of Specifications, Features, Price

HTC One M10 (also known as HTC 10) has been launched to replace last year’s HTC One M9. One of its major competitors is the Apple iPhone 6s which was released in September 2015. Here is a showdown between the flagships on the basis of their specifications, features and price.

Design and Display

The HTC One M10 and Apple iPhone 6s Plus smartphones both feature full metallic chassis. The former comes in four color choices of gray, silver, gold and red, whereas the latter is available in color options of space gray, silver, gold and rose gold.

The HTC 10 measures 145.9 x 71.9 x 9 mm and weighs 161 grams. The Apple iPhone 6s Plus is a phablet device that measures 158.2 x 77.9 x 7.3 mm and its weight is 192 grams.

The HTC 10 supports Quad HD resolution on its 5.2-inch Super LCD 5 display. The iPhone 6s Plus has a 5.5-inch screen that offers full HD resolution.

Chipset, RAM and Storage

The HTC 10 features Snapdragon 820 and 4GB of RAM under its hood. It comes in storage variants of 32GB and 64GB, and users can add up to 2TB of external storage using the microSD slot.

The iPhone 6s Plus is driven by Apple A9 SoC that is supported by 2GB of RAM. It comes in storage choices of 16GB, 64GB and 128GB. The microSD storage feature is absent on this device.

Camera, Software and Other Features

For photography, both the smartphones feature 12-megapixel cameras that are equipped with features like OIS and dual-LED flash. The HTC One M10’s rear camera also supports laser autofocus. For selfies, the HTC 10 features OIS enabled 5-megapixel camera. The Apple iPhone 6s Plus also features a 5-megapixel selfie camera.

The Android Marshmallow OS modified with Sense 8 UI is present on HTC 10. The iPhone 6s Plus comes loaded with iOS 9 onboard. Both the devices feature fingerprint scanners. The HTC 10 also features a pair of non-stereo speakers and a USB-Type C on its bottom side.

Battery and Price

A 3000 mAh battery is found under the hood of HTC 10 and it carries support for fast charging. The iPhone 6s Plus has a 2750 mAh battery.

The HTC 10 is available at a starting cost of $699. The 16GB, 64GB and 128GB models of the Apple iPhone 6s Plus are priced at $749, $849 and $949, respectively.
