The HTC Vive VR headset is currently available at a $100 discount in the Microsoft Store. The price of the VR headset has been marked down to $699 from its retail price of $799.

In addition to the discount, the Store is offering a free gift card and two games, “The Gallery – Episode 1: Call of the Starseed” and “Zombie Training Simulator” to customers. If you are considering getting your hands on the VR headset, it is important to know that to use it properly, your PC must have the following:

  • A Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 480 equivalent or better graphics card
  • Intel Core i5-4590 or AMD FX 8350 equivalent or better CPU
  • At least 4GB RAM
  • One or more USB 2.0 HDMI 1.4 compatible ports
  • DisplayPort 1.2 or newer port
  • Windows 7 OS Service Pack 1/ Windows 8.1/ Windows 10

For those looking to upgrade their PCs to make them compatible with the headset, the Microsoft Store is offering a $200 discount on the HTC Vive Nvidia GeForce GTX Bundle, along with three games worth $100 — “Serious Sam VR,” “Sports Bar VR” and “RAW DATA.” The GTX Bundle is now available for $1,138.99 (original price $1,338.99). The deal is valid until 2:59 a.m. EST on Jan. 30, 2017.

The HTC Vive VR headset comes with a Chaperone system, which gives the user a warning if he/she gets too close to a wall or furniture while using the headset. A front-facing camera on the headset allows the player to peek into real-world surroundings without taking off the device.
