Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee may have declined a 2012 White House bid, but he hasn't completely ruled out being the running mate to the GOP nominee.

Everything is still open, I haven't closed any doors, Huckabee told reporters in Little Rock, where he was speaking at an event at Bill Clinton's presidential library, USA Today reported.

Huckabee said on his Fox News program last month that his heart says no to another presidential run. The TV host, a favorite of social conservatives - he won the 2008 GOP caucuses in Iowa- also said he will not be campaigning for the No. 2 slot on the GOP ticket.

But beating Obama, he said, won't be simple.

It's not going to be an easy environment in which to defeat a sitting incumbent president, he said. Plus, he said the president won't have a difficult time with 90 percent of the media, and will not have to deal with an opponent in the primary season.
