(Reuters) -- Hynix Semiconductor Inc sees mid-single digit percentage growth for shipments of dynamic random access memory (DRAM) and flash memory chips in the first quarter from the previous quarter, an executive told a conference call.

The projection by the South Korean firm suggests a sharp slowdown from 30 percent shipment growth in DRAM and 24 percent in flash chips in the fourth quarter.
