Hyundai Construction Headquarter will locate Norcross and bringing about 100 jobs in Georgia.

Gov. Nathan Deal announced Tuesday that Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas is moving its headquarters to 6100 Atlantic Blvd. in Norcross and create over 100 jobs over the next 5years. The facility is expected to be a $10 million investment.

Deal said Georgia's resources are what attract global companies like Hyundai to the area.

John Lim, the president of Hyundai Construction Equipment agreed. We needed a location that was strategically located not only for access to markets in the Southeastern United States but South and Central America as well, said Lim in the statement. Georgia, Gwinnett County and the City of Norcross will be ideal as we grow our business for the future.

The South Korea-based company was formed in 1991 to make construction equipment. The headquarters will serve all of the Americas.
Norcross was chosen as the location for the site because of its easy access to the highway, its proximity to the company's clients and because of the local pipeline of talent in the industry, Deal's release said.

The expansion of this well respected international company will be an excellent fit for the location and provide access to a talented work force, said Norcross Mayor Bucky Johnson. We look forward to working with the leadership of the company to make them feel at home.
