‘Imposters’ Spoilers: Episode 5 Synopsis Teases Doctor’s New Assignment For Maddie

Maddie (Inbar Lavi) gets a new assignment from The Doctor (Ray Proscia) in next week’s episode of “Imposters.”

According to the synopsis for Season 1, episode 5, The Doctor gives Maddie a new task after her fellow con artist and teammate Sally (Katherine LaNasa) murdered their supposed next victim, Gary (Aaron Douglas).

In Season 1, episode 4, Gary caught Sally staring at the piles of cash hidden inside his house. Gary didn’t confront Sally right away; instead, he insisted that she stay in the house for awhile and have some drinks with him. Gary managed to control his temper at the start of their drinking session, but when he reached his boiling point, he revealed that he knew that Sally was working for the Doctor. Apparently, things got violent after Gary dropped the bomb, and that ultimately led to his untimely death.

At the end of the episode, Maddie found out that Sally killed Gary. Interestingly, Maddie let Sally run away with Gary’s money. So does her new assignment have something to do with locating Sally and retrieving Gary’s money? Or does it involve a completely new victim? Only time will tell.

As for those viewers who think that Maddie may be blamed for the murder of Gary, worry no more. The synopsis reveals that Lenny Cohen (Uma Thurman) will be cleaning up Sally’s mess.

Meanwhile, Ezra (Rob Heaps), Richard (Parker Young) and Jules (Marianne Rendon) close in on Maddie as they enjoy their con-artist lifestyle in the process. In this week’s episode, the trio met Maddie’s parents and finally found out that she is staying in Seattle.

In a sneak peek from next week’s episode, Jules suggests that she, Ezra and Richard should make a Maddie code. Watch the rather steamy clip below:
