The question of the day among Apple users: When and how to get Apple iOS 5, the company's new operating system.

Apple is slated to release iOS 5 at 1 p.m. Eastern Time, or 10 a.m.. Apple Time (Pacific). The operating system has some 200 new features and users how own millions of gadgets including iPhones, iPads and iTouch's are eagerly awaiting it.

Among the new updates from iOS 5:

--cloud synchronization through Apple's iCloud service.

--Twitter integration.

--Photo synchronization among devices.

--No longer a need to physically synchronize mobile Apple devices; that will now happen through the iCloud.

--Improved notiification system.

How to Get Apple iOS 5:

1. Plug your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch into your computer with a USB cord.

2. Launch iTunes (if it doesn't open automatically).

3. On the left side of iTunes, find your device -- and click on it. It will say Ben's iPad, or whatever the device is labeled.

4. Users will see Version and a button Check for Update in the center of the screen. Click Check for Update.
