The highly anticipated iPad 3 to be launched by Apple will feature a quad-core A6 processor and will come in two models, according to the latest report.

In the Boy Genius Report blog, an unnamed source has informed regarding the details of the expected new tablet from Apple. The source has provided screenshots of output from an iPad 3 using a development and debug tool called iBoot. The most important discovery from the debug screens is confirmation that Apple uses an A6 processor, model number S5L8945X. The Boy Genius Report blog notes that the Apple A4 model was S5L8930X and the A5 is S5L8940X. The A6 is expected to be a quad-core processor, which would make the iPad 3 the fastest iOS device to date.

Also based on the information revealed by the leak is the fact that Apple plans to release two different models of the iPad 3, one of which will support LTE. In fact, the iPad 3 will support GSM, CDMA and LTE networks all in one global model.

Meanwhile, Amazon France added fuel to the iPad 3 March release rumor, by possibly leaking the launch date in the form of iPad help books and manuals. According to Amazon France, listing iPad 3 for Dummies is scheduled for publication on March 29, 2012, which falls in line with previous rumors of a March release date for the iPad 3.
