Apple iPhone 4S Breaks Sales Records Shifting One-Million Units in Opening 24 Hours
Will the release of the iPhone 4s to Sprint (S) spark a renaissance in the wireless sector, including for longstanding iPhone carrier Verizon (VZ)? Apple

Someone in China managed to get their hands on an iPhone 4S before its release and leaked video footage showing a much speedier device, impressive benchmarking and efficient interaction with the Siri feature.

From the one-minute video, AppVV Safari can be seen launching almost instantly after it was tapped. It also shows the iPhone 4S getting a BrowserMark score of 89,567 when compared to the iPhone 4′s score of 44,856. That is double the BrowserMark demo of the iPhone 4S' performance.

Thanks to the new A5 processor, Apple's iPhone users can now enjoy these welcome upgrades. The iPhone 4S was unveiled on Oct. 4 and will be available in stores on Oct. 14.

Reports are that pre-order sales for the iPhone 4S have topped 1 million units in the first 24 hours. This is Apple's most successful launch yet, as those numbers are above the prior record of 600,000 units sold in one day made by the iPhone 4.

We are blown away with the incredible customer response to iPhone 4S, Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, told the media. The first day pre-orders for iPhone 4S have been the most for any new product that Apple has ever launched and we are thrilled that customers love iPhone 4S as much as we do.

It had been reported that the new iPhone will be sold in more than 22 countries by the end of the month. The iPhone 4S comes with the A5 Dual-Core processor, 8MP camera, iOS 5, and a new voice command protocol called Siri.

Siri is like a personal assistant that texts, e-mails, reminds, and does a lot more through voice command.
