Thinking about buying a new iPhone? After you decide on the model and size, you'd better figure out which color you want. You may have more options than before.

The iPhone 7, which the rumor mill has suggested will be announced next week at an Apple event, could come in as many as five colors, according to leaked photos posted on Macotakara. The blog shared a picture purporting to show five iPhone 7 SIM card trays. They were gold, rose gold, silver, space gray — all colors of previous iPhone models — and black.

9to5 Mac reported that the latest information points to a so-called "space black." The evidence includes a Weibo photo claiming to show a black iPhone 7 in a shade MacRumors compared to the black MacBook from 2013.

If you were hoping for blue, don't jump ship to an Android just yet. Audio electronics company JBL unveiled a new speaker recently in a blue hue — which the spokesman coyly told Tech Radar "we think ... will be quite a popular color choice as a few more devices will launch with a similar color before the holidays." Tech Times has surfaced other photos that allegedly show light blue iPhone 7s. There have also been murmurs of a navy phone.

However, SlashGear argued that wouldn't make sense. "Apple releasing such a phone color would certainly turn heads, and probably just in a confused way," Brittany A. Roston wrote in an Aug. 11 post called "What’s up with the ‘deep blue’ iPhone 7 rumors?" "The company has been working its way toward the pastel end of the color spectrum for a while now, giving buyers things like a soft rose and light silver color."

To be fair, facts about the upcoming iPhone are extremely scarce. Rumors suggest it will have better battery life and no headphone jack, but all we know for sure is that Apple is hosting a press event in San Francisco on Wednesday.
