WWE legend Jake “The Snake” Roberts is almost cancer free, according to his best friend and mentor, Diamond Dallas Page.

In an interview with TMZ on Thursday, Page, a former WCW and WWE star in his own right, confirmed that Roberts was one surgery away from being cancer free. “They got the reports back, and the cancer, they’ve gotten most of it all out,” he said. “They think they have to go in and get a little bit more out of his leg, but it’s not threatening anymore or life-threatening. He was really scared and so were we.”

Page also discussed his successful yoga company, "DDP Yoga," which has reportedly earned "over seven figures" since the former wrestler's appearance on the ABC series "Shark Tank."

In February, Roberts, 58, revealed that he had a cancerous tumor behind his knee, TMZ reported. The tumor required emergency surgery after doctors discovered that it threatened to spread to his muscle.

“If the devil can’t defeat me, cancer doesn’t stand a chance in hell! Pray for sick children who face this horrible disease ‘cause The Snake will be just fine,” he said at the time.

Roberts suffered through drug and alcohol abuse for years until Page, a longtime friend, stepped in to help. “The Snake” moved into Page’s home in the Atlanta suburbs and began a strict yoga training regimen, Yahoo Sports reported.

Since moving into Page’s home, dubbed “The Accountability Crib,” Roberts has lost 70 pounds and kicked his substance abuse habits. A video documenting his recovery, entitled “The Resurrection of Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts, has received more than 250,000 views on YouTube.

By April, Roberts had recovered enough to attend his induction into the WWE Hall of Fame. Page introduced him at the ceremony.
