Even with a baby on the way, Xiomara Villanueva (Andrea Navedo) is not lacking when it comes to admiration from suitors.

It seems like Jane’s (Gina Rodriguez) father Rogelio Dela Vega (Jamie Camil) will always have a thing for her, and even Rogelio’s nemesis Esteban Santiago (Keller Wortham) can’t help but be attracted to her.

But now, Deadline has revealed that another man will join the mix of Xo’s suitors, since “Desperate Housewives” alum Ricardo Chavira will be playing an ex-boyfriend who dated her when he was still married. Chavira has been cast for a recurring role, so he’s not set to disappear on Xo anytime soon.

It is interesting to note that Chavira will be reunited with his “Desperate Housewives” co-star and work wife Eva Longoria, who will direct next season’s third episode, according to TV Line.

Rogelio might be upset that many men will be vying for Xo’s affections next season, but another thing the telenovela actor will be deeply concerned about is his son-in-law Michael Cordero’s (Brett Dier) survival.

Rogelio and Michael have a sweet and hilarious “bromance,” and Rogelio has always rooted for his daughter to end up with Michael. He got his wish during the Season 2 finale when Jane and Michael tied the knot. Sadly, even before the two lovebirds can enjoy their wedding night, Michael was shot.

Camil told Pop Sugar that Michael has to survive, because Rogelio won’t be able to cope with the sad news. “Because, you know, Rogelio was devastated when Michael got shot. I'm like, 'I cannot go on with life, so what's going to happen?’” he said. “I just hope that Michael gets better… that this gunshot doesn't transform into a horrible ending, which I don't even want to think about. But let’s see what happens!”

“Jane the Virgin” Season 3 will premiere on Monday, Oct. 17, at 9 p.m. on The CW.
