Rogelio Dela Vega (Jamie Camil) and his son-in-law Michael Cordero (Brett Dier) have developed quite an intense bromance in “Jane the Virgin,” and it’s always a treat to see the two men spend time together on screen.

But since Michael was shot during the Season 2 finale, his fate now hangs in the balance. Fans are hoping he won’t be killed off in Season 3, but whatever the case, will Rogelio find another guy to have a bromance with?

Justin Baldoni, who plays Michael’s rival Rafael Solano, shared a picture on his Instagram account (@justinbaldoni) featuring his character with Rogelio.

“One of the 5,768 things I'm excited about for @cwjanethevirgin #season3 is getting a chance to work with this comedic genius much more. Get ready... this season is going to blow your mind. New episodes start in one week!! #rafaeligo #bromance #behindthescenes,” he wrote.

During an interview with The CW Network about the “cliffhanger” from Season 2, Baldoni actually said that he did not like where the show is headed next season. He has confessed to be Team Michael himself, so does his statement mean Michael will remain in a coma throughout the season? Or is he talking about something else?

“When I read that [script], I got a little sick to my stomach. I was like, ‘That is wrong!’” said Baldoni.

As for Camil, he said that Michael has to survive the attack because he does not know what his character would do without him.

“The most important love story in the show is Rogelio and Michael, so Rogelio was devastated [because of Michael's shooting]. Michael better get well soon, otherwise it's going to be a very blue season for my character,” he said.

Earlier, Gina Rodriguez, who plays Jane Gloriana Villanueva, told Entertainment Weekly that she filmed a lot of heavy scenes for next season that will really tug at the heartstrings, and it took an effort for her to maintain her positive aura in real life.

“You learn to replace your energy in some other thought than the one in the scene,” Rodriguez explained. “You see her in the lowest of lows. It’s very heavy.”

“Jane the Virgin” Season 3 will premiere on Monday, Oct. 17, at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
