Jane (Gina Rodriguez) and Rafael (Justin Baldoni) might finally have sex with one another in “Jane the Virgin” Season 4. The CW

Jane Gloriana Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez) and Rafael Solano (Justin Baldoni) are acting like teenagers and hiding their relationship from their family in order to protect their son, Mateo in “Jane the Virgin” Season 4.

During the end of Episode Seventy-Three, the co-parents jumped at each other in the car and Jane even said they are going to have lots of sex. But will they?

“I can’t give you a yes or no answer to that, but the next episode sees them really give this relationship thing a try. And yes, sex is part of that conversation. But don’t forget that they have a kid together, which complicates things — including their first attempt at a date.” said Natalie Abrams of Entertainment Weekly.

Fans are worried that their decisions now will keep them from ending up with each other. Whatever the case, showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman has already mapped out the show’s ending.

For now, she said that Rafael’s role in Jane’s life will be highlighted and “how he’s been the person who’s always inspired her to go after her dreams and to dream big and to take a chance and be a writer.”

“That feeling of somebody who believes in her throughout her journey has been a part of their romantic connection all the way through, and this story was about that, in a lot of ways, and about her leaning on him in that way when she was feeling like she wasn’t such a success,” she told TV Line. “Somebody being your champion and believing in you and your talent and your dream, and believing that you have it in you is one of the most romantic feelings that one can have.”

As for Baldoni, he is also rooting for the two to end up together. He told Hollywood Life: “There’s a chance they could be endgame. But I mean, I don’t know. We’ll see. There’s a few more years left.”

“But at the end of the day, I think the two could very well seem meant to be. They’ve had a lot of challenges, and we’ll see. If it’s what the fans want, then maybe it’s possible. I don’t know what the show creator has in mind,” he added.

“Jane the Virgin” Season 4 airs Fridays on The CW at 9 p.m. EST.
