Xo (Andrea Navedo) and Ro (Jaime Camil) will have a rocky marriage in “Jane the Virgin” Season 4. The CW

Even though they are crazy in love with one another, Xiomara Villanueva (Andrea Navedo) and her new husband Rogelio De La Vega (Jaime Camil) will not have an easy marriage in “Jane the Virgin” Season 4.

Xo and Ro tied the knot knowing that the latter is is expecting a baby with another woman - his ex-girlfriend Darci Factor (Justina Mechado). And as expected, complications will arise.

“It being a telenovela, it can’t always be roses and champagne and lavender, or whatever the saying is. There’s going to be some rocky waters in the future [for the couple],” Navedo told TV Guide.

But even though they’ll be fighting and bickering about Darci, Navedo said, “At least we’re married!”

Meanwhile, Camil said that despite Darci’s interference, Rogelio’s baby will have a huge and positive impact on his life. “You know, he’s always wanted to raise Jane since the beginning, and now he will have that chance. But he will have the crazy Darci factor next to that opportunity, so that will make things not so much smooth-sailing for him,” he said.

It will not help that Darci will also start dating one of the enemies of Rogelio, and fans already have a clue who this guy will be.

Show creator Jennie Snyder Urman already told Deadline earlier that marriage will not end the problems of Xo and Ro. If anything, things are going to get even more complicated for them. But the good news is that Ro and Xo are determined to make things work for their relationship.

“Well, it’s going to be difficult… for him and for Xiomara and for Darci. They are all part of each others’ lives and there is no love lost at the moment. It’s going to be challenging for all of them,” she said. “Xo and Ro are definitely not going to have the traditional ‘honeymoon period.’ Right away their relationship will be challenged. But they are up for the challenge!”

As for Camil, he is just excited for his character to experience fatherhood. “So it’s gonna be a fun one for Rogelio. He’s gonna have a kid, a girl, and it’s gonna be messy for him,” he said. “But at the same time any time it gets messy for Rogelio, it gets funny for the audience.”

“Jane the Virgin” Season 4 will return to the CW on Oct. 13. at 9 p.m. EST.
