Jason Statham might reprise his role as Deckard Shaw in “Fast & Furious 8.” The actor recently spoke about his future filming schedule, which reportedly involves two Universal films including “Fast & Furious 8.”

“There's Fast 8, they want to do another one. To me, it depends what Universal are doing and when they want to go,” he said to Den of Geek. Statham’s character was introduced as Owen Shaw’s brother in “Furious 7.” He comes to LA to take revenge on Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), who is responsible for Owen’s health condition. He tries to fight Toretto but gets defeated and is taken into custody by Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson); he's then locked away in a high-security prison.

The actor did not reveal any details about his character, but it will be thrilling to see how his character progresses in the upcoming “Fast & Furious” installment, which is set to premiere April 2017. Diesel and Johnson will also reprise their roles. Gary Scott Thompson will write the characters; however, the script has yet to be confirmed.

The film might be set in London, Diesel hinted in one of his previous interviews. Said Diesel, “I always think of these films multiple pictures in advance. Kurt Russell came in for this movie, but we really hired him for a story that follows this that takes place in New York," Slash Film reported.

Russell played the character Mr. Nobody, who helps Dom stop Deckard, in exchange for protecting a computer program from a mercenary.

Meanwhile, it is also rumored that late actor Paul Walker’s brother, Cody Walker, might play a part. “His acting career is in its beginning stages. He’s open to all types of roles. I’m not sure if they are going to make an eighth movie, but if they did, I’m sure he would entertain a conversation (about a role),” Matt Luber, Paul’s former manager said about Cody, Daily News reported.

Cody played the body double of Paul in “Furious 7,” after Paul died in an automobile accident in November 2013.
