Jennifer Aniston had an estranged relationship with her mom, Nancy Kulp. In 2016, the actress’ mom passed away peacefully while she was surrounded by family and friends.

During her interview with “The Gossip Table,” Marianne Garvey revealed that Aniston did not invite her mom to her wedding to Brad Pitt in 2000. And the “Friends” star also decided to leave her mom off her wedding guest list during her nuptials with Justin Theroux.

“For her wedding to Brad, she left her mom off the guest list, and a friend of Justin’s said that it is going to happen again this summer. They are having a small, intimate wedding, and a lot of people have been left off, but Nancy’s name is the first,” she said.

In 2012, a source told The Sun that Aniston is actually much closer to Pitt’s mom Jane than her own mother. In fact, “The Morning Show” host considered inviting her ex-husband’s mom to her nuptials with Theroux.

“Jennifer wants Jane to be there. She's closer to her than she is to her own mother Nancy and it just feels right. Jane is thrilled that Jennifer has found happiness again. She has been at the end of the phone and in-person offering advice and support for the past seven years. She wouldn't miss Jen's wedding for anything,” the source said.

However, Jane never made it to Aniston and Theroux’s wedding. The former couple also called it quits in 2018.

Meanwhile, Aniston previously opened up about her relationship with her mom. She told Elle two years ago that she eventually learned to forgive Nancy.

“My mom said those things because she really loved me. It wasn’t her trying to be a [expletive] or knowing she would be making some deep wounds that I would then spend a lot of money to undo. She did it because that was what she grew up with,” Aniston said.
