Jennifer Garner is one of the most popular actresses of her time, but even she gets star struck over her biggest idols.

While promoting her film, “The Tribes of Palos Verdes,” Garner told Entertainment Tonight she gets giddy over meeting certain people.

“I am starstruck at children’s book authors, big time. I met Marla Frazee and was just, didn’t even know what to say to her. I am starstruck by ballerinas, big time. I am starstruck… I heard this woman play saxophone the other day, she was so amazing. I couldn’t look at her after. Just anyone who can’t do something you can’t do,” she said.

But while Garner gushed over her idols, her “The Tribes of Palos Verdes” co-star, Maika Monroe, couldn’t help but praise her for talents. The two actresses play the roles of mom and daughter.

“This comes from the bottom of my heart. I don’t think I’ve met a more genuine, more talented, literally, it was a hard movie for both of us. It was just, every day was a different thing, and what Jen brought to set, I have so much respect. I wanna grow up to be you,” she said.

Garner was grateful to hear Monroe’s words, and she also acknowledged the fact that they portrayed very difficult roles. The actress’ character finds out that her husband cheated on her.

“The character is something so different from anything I’ve played before. I usually play characters who are more kind of buttoned-up than I am in real life. To play somebody who is this just coming apart at the seams was exciting, terrifying but exciting. I went home to kids and a busy house, so I didn’t really have a choice of whether or not to shake it off,” she said.

After Garner landed the role of Sandy Mason, reports swirled that the character had similarities to her because the actress’ ex-husband, Ben Affleck, was rumored to have cheated on her.

And while speaking with ET, director Emmett Malloy said that Garner gave everything in the scene where her character found out about her husband’s cheating. “That scene in particular, I know Jennifer said that she popped a blood vessel.”
