Jennifer Lawrence and Darren Aronofsky are no longer together.

The "Passengers" actress and the director have decided to part ways after dating for a year. A source told Entertainment Tonight that Lawrence and Aronofsky have already broken up and that their split was amicable.

"It was amicable and they are still friends," the source said.

The insider added that the split happened last month. Lawrence and Aronofsky were last seen publicly together at the Governors Awards in Los Angeles on Nov. 11. During the said sighting, the pair was no longer together, but they were very friendly towards each other and even sat together. "It's not awkward," the source added.

The "Hunger Games" star and Aronofsky worked together for the film "Mother." Both were all praises to each other after they finished the project.

"During the big climax of the movie…She really went there," Aronofsky said about Lawrence's acting. "The producers were freaking out. We had to sort of calm it down and then go for it again. And the thing is, there's so much ability there that somehow she can summon it again and again."

"When I saw the movie, I was reminded all over again how brilliant he is," Lawrence said about Aronofsky's directing.

Months ago sources close to the couple reported that their romance was heating up. Lawrence and Aronofsky were very much in love with each other while keeping their romance low-key.

"Things are getting serious with them. They are so in love with each other," one insider said who added that the exes share the same humor. "Jennifer always cracks jokes and Darren just gets her humor. They laugh all the time!"

People close to the actress and the director were convinced that the then-couple was a good match. "Jen is a serious actress and being around another person in the business who is intense about what he does has been good for her," one source said. "I don't know how far it will go but as of now they are a really good match, two talented people who love their work and are respected for it."
