Jack Nicholson might have correspondence with first lady Michelle Obama, but the highlight of “The Departed” actor’s Oscar interactions came when he interrupted Best Actress winner Jennifer Lawrence during an interview after she had just won her first Oscar at age of 22.

The “Silver Linings Playbook” star was in the middle of an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos backstage. Nicholson could be seen lurking in the background with his trademark sunglasses and continually wiping sweat from his brow.

Lawrence was talking about the moment her win was announced by Jean Dujardin:

“I feel like I can’t even remember it, it was an insane moment,” she told Stephanopoulos. “And it was just really exciting. It was really shocking. That’s the first time I think I’ve ever felt actual shock.”

Eventually Nicholson made his way towards the Oscar winner. The creepy actor eventually approaches the interview table, saying, “No politics, George.”

Lawrence covers her mouth and gasps once seeing Nicholson at her side.

“You did such a beautiful job… I loved you in the movie. It was great,” the veteran Hollywood actor said. But before completely leaving Lawrence also he added, “You look like an old girlfriend of mine.”

She replied, “Really? Do I look like a new girl?”

“I’ve thought about it,” he slyly replied.

The 22-year-old thought she had gotten rid of him and literally screamed, “Oh my god,” covering her face with her hands for a few seconds. “Is he still here?” she asked, perhaps kidding around.

But Nicholson was there to answer her question.

“I’ll be waiting,” he added, creeping up on the Oscar winner.

J Law looked over her shoulder a few times after the 75-year-old actor finally left before admitting, “I need a rearview mirror.”

It was her first meeting with Nicholson, and their interaction can be seen in the YouTube clip below:
