Jennifer Lawrence's hair has angered the Internet.

The star of “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” posted a photo on her official Facebook fan page Wednesday, showing off a short, blond pixie cut. “Headed up north for #GLOBALFANDAY with The Hunger Games Catching Fire cast,” wrote the 23-year-old actress.

While the Oscar-winning actress didn’t say whether her hairdo is a new cut or a wig, social media is already buzzing about the shorter 'do. “What the heck? Why would you cut your gorgeous hair?? Oh no!!!” wrote one fan, Carrie Buckles of Salem, Mass., on the social media page Wednesday, a similar sentiment of many of the Kentucky-based actress’ fans. “You had such beautiful long hair Jen! Why did you have to cut it off!” said fan, Farrah Faraci.

While some followers expressed disappointment about Lawrence’s new look, others showed their support for the “Hunger Games” star. “She looks stunning, like always,” said Brownsville, Texas-based fan Juan Cantu. Another compared Lawrence to a fellow celebrity who recently opted for a shorter 'do, Miley Cyrus. “Finally! Jen shows Miley how to wear short hair properly and classy,” said fan Elizabeth Downes.

This isn’t the first time Lawrence’s hair has created a buzz. Lawrence debuted a new hairstyle, a shorter, shoulder-length 'do, at the GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles in April. According to the movie star’s stylist, Mark Townsend, the actress requested the haircut just hours before the awards show.

"Yesterday, Jennifer showed up an hour before call time and as she opened the door she was like, ‘Mark, I want to cut it all off.’ I was like, ‘What?’ Are we allowed to do that? And she said, ‘Of course, it’s my hair!” Townsend told Harper’s Bazaar, referring to Lawrence’s hairstyle as an unconventional, asymmetrical bob.

Lawrence can be seen next in the second installment of “The Hunger Games” saga, “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” due in theaters Nov. 22.
