Chris Hemsworth may have been People’s 2014 Sexiest Man Alive, however, he lost the title to David Beckham this year. This prompted Hemsworth’s “The Huntsman: Winter's War” co-star Jessica Chastain to have a little fun with the actor.

Chastain took to Twitter Wednesday to tease Hemsworth over his lost title, E!News reported. The actress jokingly wrote, "Oh man...you must be devastated. I know how much this title meant to you." Chastain also included a link of the People magazine cover with featured Beckham.

In response, the 38-year-old actor thanked Chastain on Twitter for her “kind words” and “timely reminder” on how he’s “now over the hill.” The actor recognized that his co-star was joking and even posted a lengthy and funny statement on Twitter.

"Although I knew for the last 12 months this day would come, it still hurts,” he stated. “As I fade into my weathered wrinkled exterior, I hope by time will be remembered then forgotten then forgotten some more *(insert crying music). P.S. It's what's on the inside that counts. P.P.S. David Beckham is so dreamy and has cool tats."

However, Chastain had the final word and continued on with her teasing. She wrote on Twitter after Hemsworth’s response, “Isnt Beckham older than you?” Despite the teasing, Chastain complimented the “Avengers” star for his personality. She said on Twitter, “Dont sweat it Chris. You have an A+ personality and thats all that matters!”

Hemsworth, after holding the Sexiest Man Alive honor for a year, was replaced by 40-year-old Beckham as People’s 2015 Sexiest Man Alive. In an interview with People magazine, Beckham stated that it was a “huge honor” on his part and that he’s “very pleased to accept” the title.

The model and former soccer player has been one of the most handsome personalities in the sporting and fashion industries. After having his face and body showcased in various magazine, ads and commercials, Beckham told People that he “never [felt] that [he’s] an attractive, sexy person.”

"I mean I like to wear nice clothes and nice suits and look and feel good,” he said. “But I don't ever think of myself that way."
