Jessica Simpson is reportedly pregnant with her second child, just seven months after giving birth to her daughter, Maxwell.

A source told Us Weekly that baby number two was a surprise for the singer-turned-fashion entrepreneur who is engaged to football player Eric Johnson.

“It definitely wasn't planned. But yes, Jessica is pregnant again,” the source said.

“She really is overjoyed!”

Simpson was supposedly not thinking about getting pregnant since she recently lost 60lbs from her first pregnancy.

After Maxwell was born in May, the starlet struggled with her weight for some time before signing on to a $4 million sponsorship with Weight Watchers, according to TMZ.

Simpson lost weight on a diet of low-fat smoothies, protein and plenty of vegetables.

Starting in July, she adhered to a 15-day smoothie diet; during five of those days, she drank three smoothies a day, and then slowly reintroduced healthy snacks and meals.

Her former personal chef created a nutrition plan for her according to the WeightWatchers “points value” system that included “egg white omelets, chicken satays, whipped chick peas, soba noodles and shrimp skewers,” according to the Daily Mail.

Simpson has not yet made a statement about her pregnancy. It is unknown when she found out she is pregnant; however, on Thanksgiving, she posted a card on her official website and Twitter page that may have alluded to the new bundle of joy.

“I am so grateful for my new lil family! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!” she wrote.
