The CEO of JetBlue, Dave Barger, said on Wednesday that the company will investigate the incident on Tuesday where a Las Vegas-bound JetBlue Flight 191 was diverted in an emergency landing to Amarillo, Texas because the pilot, Captain Clayton Osbon, had a meltdown while in the air caught on video by passengers. In celebration of Cyber Monday, JetBlue launched a Top Secret Sale for customers traveling from Boston and New York metro airports to six domestic and international destinations, including Barbados, Cancun, Las Vegas, Orlando, Saint Lucia and Tampa.

Under the sale, customers can book four day, three night vacation packages, including air and hotel, as low as $99 per person to their destination of choice at www.jetblue.com/vacations through 11:59 p.m. ET tonight.

Once the destination is selected, JetBlue Getaways will surprise them with a top secret hotel, guaranteed to be a three to five star property. Value and adventure-seekers must travel between Dec. 5 and Dec. 14, 2010, New York-based JetBlue said.

One month shy of the New Year, customers will be able to use their last remaining vacation days to take advantage of these amazing, once-in-a-lifetime vacation packages, said Grant McCarthy, director getaways and ancillary travel for JetBlue. We could all use a little mystery. When you can choose where you're going -- whether it's Las Vegas, Mexico or the Caribbean -- and you're treated to JetBlue's award-winning customer service and the most legroom in coach, it's a very nice kind of suspense!

This offer is good for a minimum and maximum three-night stay only on a limited number of packages. Customers will not know which hotel when booking but will be contacted 72 hours in advance of their departure date by email and given the name of the hotel and package details.
