Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have spoken out in defense of their daughter Jessa. Well, sort of. Following the uproar their fifth faced after sharing an image of herself kissing her new husband, Ben Seewald, following their Nov. 1 nuptials, and the subsequent rumors that they consummated the marriage in church, the “19 Kids and Counting” stars and fundamentalist Christians shared a similar saucy image online Sunday.

“My parents texted me this picture! This year marks 30 years of marriage and they’re still in that ‘honeymoon’ stage!” Jessa, 22, captioned the black and white photo on Instagram, which showed a usually conservative Michelle, 48, and Jim Bob, 49, sharing a passionate kiss. “It’s great to see older married couples still so madly in love! I love you Mom & Dad!” Jessa added.

Since its release, the image has received akmost 96,000 likes on Instagram, a noticeably smaller amount compared to Jessa’s similar photo with Ben, 19. Jessa’s picture, which shows her kissing her college beau, has garnered 138,000 likes and counting since its debut last week. “It’s great living life with your best friend! @ben_seewald,” reads the photo caption.

Jessa’s kissing picture is just one of the controversies she has found herself in since tying the knot. The longtime reality-TV star, who like her siblings, saved her first kiss for her wedding day, was slammed by “My Life As A Stay At Home Wife and Mother!” blog commenters last week. In the post "Wedding and Such," several readers asserted that she was caught consummating her marriage in church immediately after saying “I do.” According to one since-deleted comment, Jessa’s sister and maid of honor Jinger, 20, caught the newlyweds involved in a “troubling” incident inside a room at the First Baptist Church of Bentonville, Arkansas, on their wedding day.

“When Jinger opened the door to get Jess for the reception, she immediately closed the door with a look of shock on her face … Even though Jinger only opened the door about six inches before realizing what was going on,” read the comment.

In response to the sex scandal, Jessa indirectly addressed the allegations on Instagram, quoting this Romans 12:17-21 passage from the Bible:

“Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, ‘Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.’ To the contrary, ‘if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.’ Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”
