After over one month since her visit to “The Late Show Dave Letterman” show in which she made fun of Adele’s weight, comedian Joan Rivers is making headlines again after refusing to apologize to the singer.

Rivers, 79, appeared on the Feb. 26 episode of the late night show to talk about her experience at the 85 Academy Awards telling Letterman meeting the now Oscar-winning singer was a “disappointment.”

“What is her song? 'Rolling in the Deep,’ she should add fried chicken,” said Rivers, gesturing to Adele’s size with her arms as an unamused Letterman looked on.

“No she’s thin, can we just talk to each other here?” said Rivers after her joke was badly received.

Rivers said she first met the 24-year-old singer backstage before she performed her Oscar-winning song “Skyfall," telling the comedian she was scared to sing live.

“She kept saying ‘my throat, my throat, I don’t know if I can swallow’ and I said oh, yeah, you can swallow. There is no question,” said Rivers.

Rivers admitted that the singer requested an apology on Huff Post Live on Friday.

“I took an ad out on her a--. I said ‘you-are-not-fat’ and then I had room for a lot of other ads,” said Rivers. “Adele is beautiful and successful and has what $100 million dollars. Let’s face reality, she is fat.”

Rivers went on to say she thinks the singer should lose weight.

“It’s funny. It’s not mean. She is a chubby lady who is very, very rich and she should just calm down or lose weight.”

Adele wasn’t the only celebrity to be the butt of Rivers’ jokes; she also insulted other guests who have won Oscars, saying she saw “a lot of new faces on a lot of old bodies” and called Anne Hathaway’s best supporting actress acceptable speech for “Le Miserables” insincere.

“I haven’t seen that many crocodile tears since I shot my last pocketbook,” said Rivers, who did agree with Letterman that the 30-year-old actress is talented.

This isn’t the first time Adele has been criticized for her weight. Designer Karl Lagerfeld called the singer “a little too fat” last year. Adele responded to the comments saying she is proud to represent the “majority of women.”

Rivers is currently starring in the WETV show “Joan Knows Best" alongside her daughter, Melissa Rivers.
