Is John Mayer Trying To Get A Date With David Foster's Daughter?

Looks like John Mayer is ready to move on from Katy Perry.

On Wednesday, David Foster shared a photo of him with daughter Erin on Instagram to greet her on her 35th birthday. "one of the loves of my life and my fav daughter on this day!!! Happy bday @erinfoster #iloveyou," Foster wrote in the caption.

However, what caught his followers' attention was Mayer's comment on the photo. "Can you put a good word in for me?" the "Your Body Is a Wonderland" singer wrote to score a date with Erin. Neither of the Foster family members responded to the "Free Fallin'" singer.

Earlier this year, there were rumors that the "Gravity" singer has already found a new love with actress Natalie Morales. "They've only had a few dates," one insider claimed. "But John's telling friends he's finally falling in love again."

However, their romance may not have lasted because in July, the "Love on the Weekend" star announced on Twitter that he is single. "Hi girls I'm John, single, I wear a patch for back pain and have a daily phone alarm set to remind me to take antacid. Real bad boy type," Mayer wrote on Twitter.

In related news, his ex Perry ranked him as the best lover among her exes. Next to Mayer is Orlando Bloom and Diplo on the last. When asked to comment about the "Roar" singer's ranking, Mayer implied that he was done playing such games.

"I don’t have a cool-enough thought for you," he told Rolling Stone (via Us Weekly) "I've hacked this game. I pay very little of the price of fame now. I get to play the music that moves me the most. I'm having the time of my life. I'm 39 — I remember 32. I don't wanna do it again."

However, Mayer admitted that his hit "Still Feel Like Your Man" from his album "The Search for Everything" is inspired by the "Firework" songstress. "Who else would I be thinking about?" he confessed. "And by the way, it's a testament to the fact that I have not dated a lot of people in the last five, six years. That was my only relationship. So it's like, give me this, people."
