Katy Perry and John Mayer’s relationship may be over but that doesn’t mean the two stars aren’t looking for love. On Friday, the “Changing” artist” shared a tweet about his relationship status and what ladies should expect from him should they ever date.

“Hi girls I’m John, single, I wear a patch for back pain and have a daily phone alarm set to remind me to take antacid. Real bad boy type,” he wrote.

Mayer’s tweet comes hours after Perry was spotted enjoying the company of a mystery man during her vacation in Italy. The “Bon Appétit” singer was all smiles while getting cozy with a guy at the Anema e Core club in Capri, Italy, on Thursday night, according to the Daily Mail.

The two stayed close to one another all evening and were whispering in each other’s ears while enjoying an intimate conversation.

Although Perry has clearly moved on from Mayer, dating Diplo and Orlando Bloom, it seems like the “Moving On and Getting Over” artist still thinks about his relationship with the “Swish Swish” singer.

During an interview with The New York Times, Mayer admitted that his romance with Perry is something that was dear to him and even mentioned her in his song, “Still Feel Like Your Man.”

“I still keep your shampoo in my shower/ In case you wanna wash your hair/ And I know that you probably found yourself someone somewhere/ But I do not really care,” Mayer sings in the song.

The singer explained that his love life has been rather non-existent since their split in 2015. “Who else would I be thinking about?” he said when asked whether the lyrics were about Perry.

“And by the way, it’s a testament to the fact that I have not dated a lot of people in the last five, six years. That was my only relationship. So it’s like, give me this, people,” Mayer stated.

Although that song held a special message for Perry, the singer admitted that his album “The Search for Everything” isn’t entirely about his ex-girlfriend.

“There were times when tears came out of me, and I went, ‘O.K., John, this is not about an on-again, off-again relationship. This is something more profound,’” he said.

Mayer admitted that he wasn’t proud of his previous behavior that got him the label of a serial dater due to his many relationships with Hollywood starlets that ended as quickly as they begun.

He even hinted that his 40th birthday in October won’t be very exciting due to the state of his life. “I wish there was somebody to throw me the 40th,” Mayer said.

“I want the baby with the protective earphones...I’m right on time for my career, and I’m running late for my life,” he said.

Mayer’s latest tweet may have been a joke but it seems like the singer may be starting to starting to get serious about settling down one day.
