Former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman formally launched his campaign to be the Republican Party's nominee and challenger to President Barack Obama Tuesday, warning of the country's ruinous path as he spoke in the same spot where Ronald Reagan launched his 1980 campaign.

Despite questions about his previous job working for Obama as the U.S. ambassador to China and his widely dissected decision to not campaign in Iowa because of his opposition to ethanol subsidies, Huntsman has drawn plaudits for his moderation and reasonableness. So how to explain this campaign advertisement?

Without giving too much away, we'll just say that it involves country music, and a motorcycle, and a desert landscape, and other things not really related to Huntsman's political experience or platforms. You just have to see it to understand.
