Months before they broke up, Justin Bieber allegedly proposed to Selena Gomez, twice.

Bieber, 18, asked the Disney star to marry him, but she turned him down, according to Blind Gossip.

Gomez reportedly asked him to propose again in a few months, but it still was not meant to be for the young couple, as she again declined.

“They have agreed to never, never, ever talk about the proposals! It would be far too damaging to his reputation if people found out that a smaller star turned down a bigger star,” Blind Gossip reports.

Gomez and Bieber split last week amid reports that their relationship was on the rocks.

According to Radar Online, a source claimed that the 20-year-old actress and singer was only staying with him because he is "good for her brand."

“Dating Justin is good for Selena's brand. Together they're a brand!" the source explained. "Everyone in Selena's camp is aware of Justin's star power and is urging her to make it work with him.

"Let's just say that if for some reason Justin's star ever fell, Selena would drop him immediately," the source added.

Meanwhile, Bieber has an interview with talk show host Oprah that is set to air on Nov. 25. During the interview, he speaks about Gomez, as they were still together at the time.

“We just sometimes … we gotta take back exits," he said. "I never make [Selena] separate from me because I don’t want her to ever feel like I’m ashamed of her. Because I feel like a lot of guys do that, especially in the business.

"They don’t want to be seen with the girl, so they’ll make them ride in separate cars. They’ll do that ‘get away’ stuff. [Selena and I] get away we’re… you know … getting away together,” Bieber told Oprah in a preview of his Oprah’s "Next Chapter" interview.

No word yet if the clip will be edited out when the interview airs.
