Selena Gomez was the pre-show host for the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards. She wore a black, lacy dress that was definitely a hit on Twitter.

She began the show very professionally, interviewing stars like BFF Demi Lovato and Jessie J. Finally, uberpopular beau, Justin Bieber came on the scene in red pants, cheetah shoes, and a snake named Johnson. The two spoke about who they are most looking forward to watching during the show. The tension and flirty aura could be cut with the knife... It was akward to say the least. Chances are, no one was listening to Bieber and only looking at how intensely he looked at Gomez as she interviewed him.

Finally, by the end of the interview, BIeber laid a big one on Selena. He smooched her cheek causing Gomez to lose her footing slightly as she was not expecting him to do that.
