Kanye West's Skirt and Meggings An event doesn't have to be good to be memorable, like Kanye West's leather Givenchy skirt he wore to the 12-12-12 Hurricane Sandy benefit concert in New York City. The 35-year-old rapper, and self-proclaimed stylist for girlfriend Kim Kardashian, rocked the "skants" trend, pairing the pleated skirt (which he's actually worn before) with a pair of "meggings," or leggings for men. Everyone's skirts were in such a knot that it became nearly impossible not to poke fun at West's skirt, which even became the subject of a Twitter account, @KanyesSkirt. Reuters

Rapper Kanye West will tour later this year in support of his new album, "Yeezus," according to his co-producer Mike Dean.

Dean made the announcement while answering questions during the Reddit Ask Me Anything online chat, NME reports. He also added that he would be joining the hip-hop star on stage as a background performer.

"Yeezus" was released on June 18, just three days after the birth of West's daughter with girlfriend Kim Kardashian. The album leaked just a few days before its release but this didn't keep it from storming straight to the top of the iTunes digital music chart.

According to USA Today, the album is expected to sell 500,000 copies in its first week.

"That's what industry forecasters suggest," says Keith Caulfield, Billboard's associate director of charts/retail. "It's difficult to a degree to predict an album's sales until it actually goes on sale, but the closer you are to the release date, the better you can tell. It's like a weather forecast."

West performed at the Governors Ball on New York's Randall Island leading up to the release of the album.

He performed several old hits reports The Huffington Post, as well as two new songs from the album, Black Skinhead" and "New Slaves." The album has received extremely strong reviews with most critics recognizing the project as one his darkest and most artistically strong works.
