You’ve seen her face all over Vogue, the Neiman Marcus for Target ads and countless fashion shows. And now Victoria’s Secret has snagged itself a new long-legged, brunette, generically perfect beauty. World, meet Karlie Kloss, the newest VS Angel.

The 20-year-old model, who has taken the fashion world by storm over the past year, made an appearance on Tuesday to celebrate the launch of the 2013 Victoria’s Secret swim collection.

Joined by fellow models Alessandra Ambrosio and Candice Swanepoel at a private residence in Hollywood Hills, the photo call marked Kloss’ induction as a Victoria’s Secret Angel.

VS Angels -- which also include the likes of Miranda Kerr, Adriana Lima and fewer than 10 others -- are highly-coveted spots within Victoria’s Secret; these models represent the faces of the company as brand ambassadors in a myriad of campaigns for the lingerie company’s many product lines.

Kloss, the newest edition who stands at 5 feet 11 inches, will make more public appearances as an Angel and appear in more commercial and print ads, The Telegraph reported.

As part of her new role, the St. Louis-native opened up on Twitter in a live Q&A session, where she revealed that she loves movies with Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence, football and chai tea. While rumored to be dating investor Joshua Kushner, Kloss said she requires that a guy has a sense of humor in order to steal her heart.

Aside from the new swimwear line for 2013, Kloss also modeled in the Victoria’s Secret runway show which aired back in December. Her costume for the fashion show, an Indian headdress, made headlines when fans deemed the getup too controversial.

Most recently, IBTimes spotted Kloss in several shows during New York Fashion Week in February, like the Michael Kors show, Carolina Herrera and alongside Oscar de la Renta, all for the Fall 2013 ready-to-wear season.

Kloss was also the subject of a feature in Vogue in December in which the magazine chopped off her long locks for a shorter cut, first dubbed the “Chop.” In a stunt which nearly mimicked the days of Vidal Sassoon in the Swinging Sixties, hair stylist Garren chopped, while photographer Patrick Demarchelier snapped, off Kloss’ hair for a haircut Vogue boasted as the new “it” cut (a la Sassoon’s five-point cut), aptly named “The Karlie.”

The brunette beauty also appeared in the Neiman Marcus for Target, the retail store’s latest discount design collaboration, ad. Kloss is seen in the commercials wearing leather pants, a black top and red lipstick with a slicked-back ponytail, contorting her long legs for the holiday ad campaign. After all, she’s a trained ballet dancer who ended up being a model.

“I never imagined myself doing this. Doors opened for me and I ran for it,” Kloss told Women’s Wear Daily.

Kloss signed with Elite Management in 2007 and began appearing in editorials like Teen Vogue (several times), Glamour and V.com. In that first year in the spotlight, she also walked and was featured in shows for brands like Calvin Klein, Gucci, Alexander McQueen, Chloe (for which she was later named the face of See by Chloe in 2008) and Valentino.

With countless runway shows, campaigns, editorials and more under her belt, Kloss was named Vogue’s Model of the Year for 2012, which if you’ve ever heard of Anna Wintour, is like the Oscar+Pulitzer+Nobel Prize of fashion.
