Kate Middleton looked like "Frozen's" ice queen Elsa in her blue ensemble at the Royal Variety Performance.

On Friday, Prince William and Middleton attended the Royal Variety Performance at the Palladium Theatre in London. The Duchess of Cambridge stunned in her baby blue gown designed by Jenny Packham, who may have been inspired by "Frozen" when she created Middleton's ensemble.

According to Cosmopolitan, Middleton channeled Elsa in the blue floor-length gown, which was encrusted with queen-worthy jewels. It has a sheer neckline and sleeves that are similar to those in Elsa's dress when she sang the film's theme song, "Let it Go."

This is not the first time that one of Middleton's gowns was compared to the "Frozen" Disney princess. In March, Middleton attended a lavish dinner party at the British Embassy in Paris where she wore another ensemble from her favorite British designer, Packham, and it was also similar to Elsa's blue gown.

The Duchess of Cambridge donned a shimmering ice blue sequined, floor-length gown. It has shorter sleeves than her dress at the Royal Variety Performance. Nevertheless, it gave the same aura as Elsa's signature gown from "Frozen."

In related news, Prince William and Middleton enjoyed their night at the Royal Variety Performance. The pregnant royal was seen laughing as the Duke of Cambridge was forced to join in the show when Miranda Hart asked for audience participation.

The comedian asked Prince William to shout her catchphrase, "such fun." In addition, she said that she hoped to hear him say her other saying, "knighting me with a lightsaber." Middleton burst out in laughter when the spotlight fell on her.

The Royal Variety Performance is an annual event in the United Kingdom of which Queen Elizabeth II is a patron. It aims to raise money for the Royal Variety Charity, which offers support to hundreds of performers throughout the UK who need assistance due to health problems or old age.

The members of the British royal family take turns in attending the celebration. Last year, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles were in attendance. This year, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge got the chance to participate in the event.

This was not Prince William and Middleton's first time gracing the event. The couple first attended the Royal Variety Performance in 2009. At the time, Prince William and Middleton were expecting Princess Charlotte.
