Prince William and Kate Middleton's schedule for this week includes attending the Royal Variety Performance.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be attending the annual variety show on Friday. The palace has confirmed this on Twitter. "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will attend the Royal Variety Performance at the Palladium Theatre on 24th November," Kensington Palace announced.

The Royal Variety Performance is an annual event in the United Kingdom. It is a televised variety show that aims to raise money for the Royal Variety Charity. The event includes family entertainment like comedy, music, dance, magic and other special acts. The money raised will help hundreds of entertainers throughout the UK who need help and assistance due to old age, poor health or hard times.

The British royal family members take turns in attending this grand occasion of which Queen Elizabeth is a patron. Last year, Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla Parker-Bowles, were assigned to grace the event. This year, it is the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's turn to be entertained.

This will be Prince William and Middleton's second time attending the event. The couple first attended the show together in 2014. At the time, Middleton was pregnant with Princess Charlotte. This time, she is pregnant with their third baby.

According to Hello! magazine, comedian Miranda Hart will be hosting the event. Meanwhile, Prince William and Middleton will get the chance to meet some of the performers, which include The Killers, Paloma Faith, Louis Tomlinson and The Script.

In related news, last week, Prince William, Middleton and Prince Harry hosted a secret dinner gala for another charity, the Royal Foundation. The trio attended the lavish dinner at Sunbeam Studios. The palace did not announce the gathering.

The guests received an invitation that read: "The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry request the pleasure of your company at The Royal Foundation Dinner."

In addition, they were asked to wear lounge suits and cocktail dresses. The attendees were also warned against using their mobile phone to take pictures during the event. "Please note that photography and mobile telephones are strictly prohibited and we ask all our guests to switch off their telephones upon arrival. There will be a professional photographer in attendance," the invitation stated.
