Trulia reports Kate Upton, in addition to gracing three different covers of the 2017 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, and fiancé Justin Verlander of Detroit Tigers fame recently purchased a five-bedroom, six-bathroom home in Beverly Hills, California, for $5.25 million

Built in 1976, the 5,521-square-foot home is an East Coast-style property that infuses the ideal indoor/outdoor anesthetic of Southern California. Located behind gates just above Benedict Canyon, the home features open living and family rooms with beamed ceilings and French doors. The master suite includes a pitched ceiling and fireplace plus dual closets and baths.

The home has three additional bedroom suites, as well as a maid’s room and a spacious bonus room, ideal for an office or studio, with its own entrance. The property is on a 1 1/2-acre lot that also boasts lush landscaping, a swimming pool and spa, multiple patios and a tennis court -- no baseball diamond for Justin, however.

Cleary the couple is in good company. The previous owner of the home was film producer Jon Peters, known for movies such as "Batman" and "Ali." He originally bought the property in 2004 from tennis star Pete Sampras for $3 million. Vin Diesel owns the property next door.

The listing agents were Judy Feder of Hilton & Hyland and Steve Frankel of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.
