A CBS Houston sports blogger has come under fire after calling an NBA cheerleader “too chunky.” Claire Crawford was criticized by many readers for essentially saying that Kelsey Williams wasn’t skinny enough to be wearing her Oklahoma City Thunder uniform.

While the team was competing against the Houston Rockets in the NBA playoffs on April 22, Crawford began a debate about Williams’ body.

“The Rockets looked terrible in Game 1, but some say they weren’t the only bad-looking people on the court,” Crawford said. She added that the cheerleader was a “pretty blonde,” but faulted her for “having 'pudginess' around her waistline.”

According to ABC News, Crawford also wrote: “But if she's comfortable wearing that tiny outfit and dancing for NBA fans, then good for her. Besides ... not every man likes women to be toothpick skinny. I'd say most men prefer a little extra meat on her bones.”

Next the CBS Houston blogger included a poll whereby readers could vote on whether they agreed with her, giving them the following three options about the cheerleader’s body: She had “the perfect look to be an NBA cheerleader,” “she could use some tightening up in her midsection” or “she has no business wearing that outfit in front of people.”

Williams took to Twitter to respectfully address the blogger’s rude comments with a couple of tweets:

The CBS Houston blogger’s article has been removed from the site. According to the Lost Ogle, Claire Crawford is a pen name for Anna-Megan Raney, an apparent misspelling of the name of Anna-Megan Raley, a CBS digital content manager. Raley has denied this is the case.
