“Kendra on Top” reality star Kendra Wilkinson appears to be on top of everything except her marriage.

Relationship issues involving the 28-year-old, famous for being a former girlfriend to Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner, and her husband, is a main storyline in the upcoming season of the couple's hit WE-TV series. In the newly released season two trailer for the program, which follows Wilkinson and her life with former NFL star and husband Hank Baskett, 30, and the couple’s 3-year-old son, Hank Jr., the couple contemplates the idea of an open relationship.

“I shouldn’t even be married,” Wilkinson says, to which Baskett agrees stating, “We should just be single and live together like they all say.” The reality star responds by calling his request ideal, saying she has been waiting to hear the news "her whole life” and questioning the idea of having an open relationship. While the pair both appear to be on board to live an open marriage, the topic appears to be a source of contention in later scenes after Wilkinson can be seen crying to a friend, calling herself a “failure” due to her marriage problems and claiming she doesn’t know her husband.

In contrast to the couple’s upcoming airing of their grievances on the series, the twosome's marriage appears to be on track after expressing their desire to People magazine in June to expand their family to include a sibling for Hank Jr. "Little Hank keeps saying to us, ‘I want a brother or a sister,’ so we have to include him in our decision, too,” Wilkinson said. “I’m ready. I couldn’t be more ready and Hank couldn’t be more ready.”

Wilkinson cited a recently family vacation to South California’s Big Bear Lake as the reason behind their salvaged relationship, saying the getaway helped them find “new fascinations” with one another. “We found the key to happiness. We have the key to marriage. We have the key to parenting,” she said. “Why not right now bring a new life into this world while we’re this happy? It just makes sense."

The season two premiere of “Kendra on Top” airs Friday, Sept. 13 at 10 p.m. ET on WE-TV.
