Khloe Kardashian can now breathe a sigh of relief after criminal charges against her have been dropped. An investigation was launched after complaints were filed against her due to disruptive fireworks that she arranged for her rumored boyfriend, James Harden. The fireworks were launched during Harden’s birthday party back in the early morning of Aug. 26.

According to TMZ, criminal charges lodged against Khloe and her mother Kris Jenner have now been dropped by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. The decision was made after the L.A. Sherriff’s Department submitted their findings after investigating the incident.

According to the investigation, neither Khloe, Kris, nor the production company that launched the massive display, can be held accountable. The U.S. Coast Guard reportedly allowed Khloe to proceed with the plan. The Sheriff’s department was informed, but the reality stars were not required to secure a permit for the activity since the fireworks were being launched a good distance away from the Marina.

As reported earlier, Khloe staged an elaborate yacht party at Marina del Rey on the evening of Aug. 25. The party roared on into the night, and fireworks were set off close to midnight. The noise woke up numerous residents as well as their pet dogs.

A group of local residents have reportedly banded together to press charges. Now that any possible criminal charges have been dropped, the residents are reportedly still keen on pursuing a damages claim.
