Kim Kardashian is finally ending her public silence after her first child, North West, was born on June 15. She took to her blog on Wednesday to talk about how she’s enjoying motherhood with her daughter, whom she and boyfriend Kanye West nicknamed Nori.

"These past couple of weeks have been filled with the most exciting experiences of my life," the 32-year-old reality star wrote. "I'm enjoying this time to fully embrace motherhood and spend time at home with my family. I've been reading all of your messages and want to thank you all for your sweet thoughts and best wishes. It truly means everything to me. I am so blessed to have the support of my family and fans in this beautiful moment."

So how is new dad West coping with being a father for the first time? The rapper, who is notorious for being narcissistic and has compared himself to Steve Jobs and Walt Disney, has apparently surprised everyone in the Kardashian-West circle since his daughter was born. "Kanye has stepped up more than anyone expected," an insider told Us Weekly. "He loves being a daddy and he's so supportive of Kim."

Fans haven’t had a glimpse of little Nori or momma Kardashian since Nori was born a month ago. Some Kardashian fans attribute her recent absence from the spotlight to West being camera shy. Though the starlet has attended family events with her newborn, cameras have not been allowed to capture any shots of the mother-daughter duo.

It’s not because North is anything less than gorgeous, according to friends and family."The baby is beautiful," Kardashian’s gal pal Robin Antin told Us Weekly. "Kim keeps telling me how much fun it is to be a mom. She and Kanye are so happy."

The fashionista "can't believe how maternal she is on her own," a source told the celebrity news site. "Breast-feeding is working for her and she already feels she has bonded with Nori."
