Kim Kardashian defended husband Kanye West on Instagram Monday after he allegedly told people in wheelchairs to stand up during a concert in Australia Friday. The queen of reality television said her rapper beau was misunderstood.

“What an amazing Australian tour! Its frustrating that something so awesome could be clouded by lies in the media,” Kardashian, 33, wrote. “Kanye never asked anyone in a wheel chair to stand up & the audience videos show that. He asked for everyone to stand up & dance UNLESS they were in a wheel chair. #JustWantedEveryoneToHaveAFunNight #TheMediaTwistsThings”

The post received over 150,000 likes from followers after it was on the site for two hours. Her post showed a brief clip of West’s concert.

West also responded to the story and lashed out at the media. “I’m a married Christian man with a family,” he ranted at a show in Sydney Monday, Radio.com said. “At my concerts, I make sure everybody has as good a time as possible. So all this demonizing me, it ain’t gonna work after awhile. Pick a new target. Because I’m not one of these dumb*ss artists that you’re used to."

The rapper was scrutinized after he allegedly berated two fans, who were wheelchair-bound, after they did not stand up as he sang “The Good Life” at his Yeezus concert at the Qantas Credit Union Arena Friday.

“I decided I can’t do this song, I can’t do the rest of this show, until everybody stand up. Unless you got like a handicap pass and you get special parking and s--- ... I ain’t going to go on with the show unless y’all stand up,” he reportedly said, according to the Daily Telegraph.
