Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are finally set to unite their empires. According to a new report, West proposed to Kardashian last week in the days following the birth of their daughter, North West.

The report, published by British tabloid the Sun, contradicts denials from close family and friends of Kardashian who say that the couple do not yet have any plans to tie the knot. One source close to Kardashian told the Post that the news was absolutely “not true.”

But according to the Sun, Kardashian, 32, and West, 36, are planning to celebrate their nuptials in Paris in September. West reportedly popped the question to his bride-to-be without an engagement ring but has already purchased a rare black diamond ring, embossed with tiger stripes. The report estimated the ring’s cost at around $768,600.

“He has spent half a million on a ring as a push present and had it designed months ago in preparation,” a source told the Sun. "He's even more in love with her now than ever, and they can't wait to get married."

Although West has stayed mum on the engagement rumors, he recently referred to Kardashian as his "true love" in a new interview with W magazine. When asked about his appearances on "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," he said, "Oh, that's just all for love."

"It's simply that. At a certain point, or always, love is more important than any branding or any set of cool people or attempting to impress anyone," he added. "Because true love is just the way you feel. ... Thoughts and feelings can disagree sometimes."

Kardashian, who spent much of the most recent season of her reality show lamenting the fact that she was still married to Kris Humphries while pregnant with West’s child, finalized her divorce to the basketball player on June 4. She gave birth on June 15 at Cedars Sinai Hospital in West Hollywood, Calif.

West reportedly dropped a cool $200,000 on three private hospital suites and luxurious amenities for Kardashian during and after her pregnancy. Kardashian spent four days in the hospital after giving birth a month early, a possible result of suffering from preeclampsia. The ritzy accommodations included leather sofas, flat-screen TVs, marble bathrooms and a personal chef.

Although Kardashian’s team has shot down the current engagement rumors, the reality star has been very vocal about her desire to walk down the aisle again, even after her disastrous marriage to Humphries.

“I do think I would get married again,” Kardashian told Ryan Seacrest in April. “That’s what I’ve always wanted. And just because you think you find it and you realize that’s not it, I think I was brave enough to realize that quickly and not waste time.”’

Kardashian’s rep declined to comment on the record to the New York Post.
