Private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. is planning an initial public offering, media reports said on Thursday.

CNBC and the Wall Street Journal said the firm is planning an IPO. KKR rival The Blackstone Group priced its IPO on Thursday, with trading in its shares to begin on Friday morning.

KKR declined to comment.
