Kris Jenner is taking drugs and alcohol to cope with the new change in her life after former husband Bruce Jenner announced about his gender transition, according to a report. “She’s drinking and taking the panic-disorder medications Klonopin and Xanax to deal with the anxiety she’s experiencing. She alternates between the Klonopin and Xanax, and she’ll switch from wine to champagne to margaritas,” a source told In Touch magazine, according to Radar Online.

The source reportedly said that Kris’ daughter Khloe Kardashian is concerned about her mother’s condition and has even asked her to curb her behavior.

“Khloe never holds back and told her to cool it on the boozing, especially around the house. They all know Kris will pop a pill before going to bed, but lately she’s been taking them to help her get through a tough day, and every day now seems to be a tough day,” the source reportedly said, adding that Kris calls the pills, “Mama’s little helpers.”

The news comes just days ahead of the two-hour special episode of the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians: About Bruce," which is set to air in two parts on May 17 and May 18. The first promo for the special was released by the network Thursday. "I want to meet her when he's ready, when we're both ready," Kylie Jenner says during a voiceover. "I just don't like when people say Bruce is going to be gone," Bruce's another daughter says, to which he replies, "I'm not going anywhere."

E! network stated that the episodes "will reveal intimate conversations that Bruce had with his famous family, in which they discussed his transition."

"The specials will also explore each family member's struggle to process his or her own feelings as they all work through hearing from Bruce directly about finally living life as the person he has always known himself to be," the network said in a news release earlier.

Last month, the 64-year-old Olympian said in an interview with Diane Sawyer that he has the “soul of a female.”

Kris, who had “no comments” when Bruce made the revelation, has been fired as the latter’s manager for an upcoming TV show that will document his transition, according to reports. Kris was reportedly worried that Bruce might embarrass the family, especially their teenage daughters Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner. Tensions between Kris and Bruce escalated after she visited Bruce following his breast implant surgery last month.
